Good Morning!

eighteen years ago today i got married on a beach in st. lucia.
we didn't plan for it to be on 9/11, but island legalities made it so.

she was my sisters best friend in elementary school and i was in high school with her two older sisters (the 70's).

she was my sister's maid of honor. i had been asked to be the best man but declined.
i was then dating my soon to be second wife, and she had just gotten married and was leaving for iceland her husband was navy. (89)

late 90's my mom sees her at a grocery store and gets her back in touch with my sister. in 97 we were both going through a divorce and my sis asked her if she remembered me  (as if) and would she be interested in a date.
she said no.;Hilarious;Hilarious;Hilarious

a month later she called my sis and told her to make it happen.

January 1997 we had lunch, and then a dinner date and since then we have never been apart.

Happy Anniversary Andrea. my wife, my love, my queen, my everything.

(side note) she's never here, so this just for you all. but she knows.

enjoy your day.
Happy Anniversary

I missed good morning. How about good evening? The last few days were rough, but ended well. Husband has retired. We're heading for the gulf coast of Florida in a few days...because that's what you do when you have a "job change" (at least that's what we do). It will be strange....you spend 40 years planning for this event, but when it actually happens, it's still a little weird. He 100% deserves to enjoy his retirement. Hopefully, I'll be there in a few short years.

In the meantime, maybe he can learn a few things....like how to turn on the dishwasher, boil water, do laundry, etc. At least he can microwave popcorn. He will never be granted tank privileges, though!!! Never, never, never!!! ;Hilarious One of our sons isn't even allowed to mag float. His wife (ICU nurse) is allowed...she passed the test.

I am afraid I am not an expert on lubes.

Fishguy, I remember all that stuff and probably still have some. That polymer isn't to old because they didn't have that very long ago. When I was a kid, there was no plastic
Think about that for a while. Toothpaste came in a metal tube, probably lead.

Ah yes, the good old days!
Toy soldiers were made out of lead and Tonka trucks were made out of steel. When your toys got rusty and they cut you, Mom put a Band-Aid on it with some iodine and sent you back outside to play. No need to call a lawyer and start a class action suit.
All of us old timers played with this stuff and here we are 60, 70+ years later, still kickin’ !
Mornin’ All!

Good morning.
I worked in retail before UPC codes appeared. When we received inventory we wrote the cost/price on stuff with a Listo grease pencil using a code.
WICKERSHAM = 1-9,0 so $1.89 was WHA for example.
Then came stickers that came with the order and where placed on each item.
Large companies adopted point of sale (point of sale) systems with computers and that forced UPC to appear on everything. That was about 1980.

good morning all... :) 80's were kinda a blur for me...:rolleyes:woke up in 86 ,when now wife became preg w our first born.
have a great day all...;Happy
thoughts and prayers sent to all in need...

Good morning. My yard is being overrun with robins. Must be migrating. Then taking the dog out this morning, out of the corner of my eye, I saw something in a tree move.

I still have some of my son’s metal tonka toys. Wonder how much they are worth now… if I sell them maybe I can retire…or buy a box of salt. ;Happy

Was wondering where all the robins went to.
