Good Morning!

I have also gone to Ellis Island a few times. I live in New York and worked in Manhattan so I saw it every day.

At the Island I also found that manifest of the ship my family came over on and their signatures.

It may have been the same ship as your Grand Father. My family came here in about 1903.

Here is my Dad on the left at age 27 and my Grand Father is on the right.
Thats my Grand Fathers fish market.

ReefGrammie, is that the Tennessee Sea?

I don't think we have too many seas in Tennessee! ;Hilarious I wish we did because that's where I'd be...on the sea. That was beautiful Destin, Florida on the gulf coast. It's been one of our favorite vacation spots for almost 40 years!

Good morning! I've been slightly behind here. We came back from FL on Wednesday and I immediately had to go back to the dreaded workplace, greeted by a ton of emails and all sorts of whining. Another person quit. That's 3 auditors in the last month. Hmmmm, could there possibly be a problem? No, all we hear about is what fantastic teams we have. :rolleyes:Boss is going to love our meeting Monday because #4 may be happening really soon! :D

Our daughter-in-law kept the tanks going while we were gone. I've lose a few corals in the 90 from the LED fiasco, but I pretty much expected that to happen. Oh well, I guess I'll have to do some live sale shopping! ;Hilarious

I need to do a w/c on the BioCube today and run the RO/DI unit. Always something! I'm still sorting through the junk mail piled up at home. Enjoy your Saturday!

Which is why I had to make my own in the basement.

Good morning

I cant see my sea yet, you see because the lights haven't come on yet. The "sun" rises promptly at 7 every day.
Like clockwork, because it is.

Good morning! Another day, another adventure!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Good morning.
I got some of my “to do “ list done yesterday. Gonna work on it more today.
Went to feed the cat and can’t find him anywhere. He usually runs to the basement when he feed him. Then my husband says “did you go in your closet this morning?” (We have his and closets) Me: yes I did. Went and looked and there he is. Silly cat! He is so quiet and sneaky we don’t he hear most of the time. lol
Have a great Sunday

ReefGrammie, good morning. I am going to the sea now behind my house for my morning walk. I wish you had a sea to see every morning but I can see that everyone can't see that. :)

Which is why I had to make my own in the basement.

@Paul B, I love to see that you're close to the sea and I always love to see your sea pictures. :D @WVNed, I guess most of us here have to make our own sea and that's what brings us all together!

I spent most of my life in coastal cities and I do miss the sea. One of the true tests for my husband was passing the not-puking-on-my-dad's-boat test. My friends got one chance. Most of them went out on our boat one time. ;Hilarious

Good morning! In my usual state of procrastination, the w/c didn't happen yesterday and neither did running the RO/DI unit. It will happen today....I hope!

I have something interesting going on in the tank. I had a red pistol shrimp for several years. I'm pretty sure that shrimp "passed" not too long ago. The "part" I found sure didn't look like a molt, and the shrimp always popped out at feeding time and I haven't seen it lately. When that pistol shrimp fired, it was LOUD. You could hear it upstairs at night.

I've been hearing some soft clicking in the tank for several weeks now. I had a pistol shrimp years ago that would rearrange the sand bed at night. The red pistol shrimp never did that. Something did some major excavation of my sand bed last night. Could that mystery thing I caught a glimpse of a few weeks ago be a hitchhiker pistol shrimp? I guess it still could be the red shrimp that has suddenly discovered sand excavation. Mystery to be continued...the next time I have insomnia and head downstairs at 4:00 a.m., I'll be searching with my red flashlight!

Have a great Sunday! ;Joyful

Good Morning Reefies.
four days left at work, and still no contract.
hope they have it figured out today so i know if i'm working or not.
enjoy your monday.

Ugh, I feel your pain. Today at 1:30 p.m. EST will be a moment for me. I'm still not expecting much, but things don't happen quickly around my workplace. Unless "something" happens quickly, something else may be happening in just a few weeks. Good luck with your situation!
