Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends here on R2R!
Warm and windy here with lots of rain arriving later this morning.
I stayed up a good part of the night preparing for today’s dinner. Stuffing (cornbread with venison) is made, Taters are “smashed” and yams (with a bourbon, maple glaze) are all ready to go in the oven, all in casserole form of course. All the hard work is done now. Just need to pop the bird (just a breast) in the oven , prep and cook some Brussel sprouts (broiled with garlic and herbs). Please dont hate me but we got a store bought pie for dessert.
Christmas tree went up yesterday. It’s not decorated yet but I had some time and that will cut down on tomorrow’s work. We usually do it the day after Thanksgiving. Had to move most of my Orchids into the bird room because the tree goes in front of the window where the plants live year round.
Should be a relaxing day today, just the two of us.
