Good morning.
With a great deal of help from Jeanna the magical transformation from dirty white smelly carpet to a new floor is done. I used a few more physical resources than I actually have but I have always been able to do that.
Gabapentin is great stuff. No pain at all but the legs only work about 50 %. You just have to use 100% of the 50%.
LOL, the left leg is used to step up and the right one to step down. Okay as long as I follow the rules. We did all the cutting in the garage, 2 floors down and 300 trips. Take another pill and the shaking will stop. The old guy with the shakes using the old table saw with no guards scared Jeanna a bit.

I got some cool tools for Christmas. A pneumatic stapler to fasten down floor underlayment with pancake air compressor, Rigid multitool to undercut the door frames and brad nailer to put the trim back.

Now to make the Trip to get Earnest. I suppose it will make waves in Jill's family that he is coming here for 2 holidays in a row, Thanksgiving and now Christmas. I don't get involved in their family politics. You would be amazed at how much they dislike me. I don't play their silly games and I do what I say I am going to do. I hold no ill will toward them. They just assume I do. They assume a lot of things which gives them stuff to be upset about. You don't even have to participate.

Louie is upset because I haven't payed any attention to him for 2 days. He woke me by pulling on my CPAP headgear strap at 4 am purring loudly. Time to catch up on petting.

my mrs made cookies all last week and promptly put them in the freezer so i (not her allegedly)
wouldn't eat them all before christmas.

smoked bacon for us yesterday.
smoking bacon for ex#2 tomorrow along with an mri.

how'd that ham come out? I got bacon going in the smoker in an hour.

The ham came out amazing. Most of the staff is from Mexico and didn't know what smoked ham was. They were almost gnawing on the bone. Bacon is awesome. I need to make some tasso soon.

Good Morning! It's a toasty 25 this morning. Snow should start falling soon and continue for about a week. I need it for the upcoming fishing season. We had hoot owls all last summer, and I don't want to deal with that again. Normally everyone fishes guide hours, which leaves prime time open for me. Have a great day and stay safe!

My day is almost over at 5:30 am. But I am a Geezer and my day keeps starting earlier and earlier. Soon I will completely skip an entire day.

To me it’s not morning until it is actually light outside. And it isn’t light out at 5:30 am

I took my morning walk at about 6:30 this morning. It was a little dark and raining. It is also the shortest day of the year. Still 24 hours but short anyway.

That is a street light about a mile away and I didn't trip over any deer. None that I saw anyway,

Good morning! Unfortunately, all of us got a cold this week and our family get togethers will happen without us, but I can't complain too much. It could always be worse. Take our neighbors for example. This morning they found out that due to a covid Illness at a relative's house, 5 family members and 2 dogs will be arriving tomorrow for an entire week. They have to buy gifts for the kids and plan a Christmas dinner for 8. And then make that dinner. Etc. They have one guest room, so someone will be spending time on the sofa and others on blowup mattresses. I'll take a cold over all that any day!

A couple were Christmas shopping. The shopping center was packed and as the wife walked through one of the malls she was surprised when she looked around to find that her husband was nowhere to be seen. She was quite upset because they had a lot to do. She became so worried that she called him on her cell phone to ask him where he was. In a quiet voice he said, “Do you remember the jewelers we went into about five years ago where you fell in love with that diamond necklace that we couldn’t afford, and I told you that I would get it for you one day?” The wife choked up and started to cry and said, “Yes, I do remember that shop.” He replied, “Well, I’m in the bar next door.”

Today is a great morning, I woke a hour ago to a BTA in the tank. Girlfriend bought it yesterday from my usual quarantine safe vendor and put it in all on her own! It's opened up beautifully! Time to cook a batch of rodi and wrap some presents.

Boom, Kirk and Jane and the twins got exposed. Wont be here until next week maybe. Negative on the quick test but Abigale is sick so they did the 3 day one. Earnest is staying home and will go to Jill's brothers.
It will be just the 3 of us here.

Our Christmas (and my birthday) is canceled this year. We just found out our Son N Law has Covid so we can't go there.

Of course our Grand Kids are crying but I will drive their presents up to Nyack like 80 miles away so they can open them on Christmas and we will Zoom with them to see how they like them.

We will get to go to my wife's cousins for the feast of the 7 fishes. Last year he made I think 23 different kinds of seafood and we love seafood. Our Daughter, Son N law and kids were also coming but that isn't happening this year.

I look forward to this meal all year.
Have a great , healthy Christmas and hopefully a much better year from now on.

Good morning. Well thanks to lots of cold medicine I survived my daughter’ annual Christmas party. This year’s theme was pajama party. I did wear a mask while preparing everything so no caught my cold. They must of had lots of fun judging by all the noise they were making and didn’t go home until 1am.

I had pictures but my photo hosting service lost hundreds of them. But my wife's cousin is Sicilian like me and a great cook. He makes in a few different ways, octopus, shrimp, squid, king crab, clams (many ways) mussels, scungeel (or conch) squid along with 5 or 6 fish types in different sauces and pastas.

Wines by the case and I am baking a few loaves of different breads.

The table is 25' long and the kitchen is a total mess.

I didn't mention appetizers or desserts but forgetaboutit. We start eating about 3:00 and go all night. It's a good thing I just lost 25 lbs.

I will try to take pictures this year but unfortunately my kids won't be there.

Good Morning! It's 26 this morning and expecting 8 inches today. We will see if that happens. I only have 16 hours of work to go and then I'm off for my weekend. No plans, just lots of needed rest. My new turn table arrives today, so I will be spinning records all weekend. I almost feel sad for my neighbors. I resisted buying the Devil Makes Three original record. I am proud of myself.
