Good Morning!

Good Morning Reefies.
it's trash day.
and i didn't get ours out in time.:(
and of course there is more than usual because of the holiday.

I think they deliberately come early after a holiday! Ours was today also and I just happened to take it out this morning...they showed up much earlier than normal!

not a very good day here this morning. I tested positive for covid this morning!

I don't feel bad, just some body aches and a severe headache.

Lovely morning all!
My sister is worried because my nephew in TX turned up positive yesterday...again. He is double vaxxed and also had covid in early 2020. Of course, they were all together last weekend. She mentioned he had fever and a bad backache. I hope you feel better soon!

Good morning! Happy early birthday to Angela. Not much going on here other than my last full day of work for 2021! :D

It's going to be stormy here for the next few days. Hopefully, the generators will not be needed. Have a great day!

Good morning.

The red eye holiday flight that was delayed for hours may not have been the best idea.

I am double vaxed and boosted! Just got my booster at the beginning of this month. According to my readings(I truly don't think the powers that be know for sure) your immunity after having it is only good for roughly 19 days. Or at least you can get it again after 19 days.

Feeling better this morning, but still not anywhere near 100%. Never got a fever(well maybe a little one last night as I woke up the bed was soaking wet!), just a bad headache, and body aches(like the flu without the fever).

Considering we are all having mild symptoms, I wonder if it is the omicron variant?

Anyways, morning all!

Good Morning. I just came back from my morning, cold rainy fantastic walk just like every day.
Going to see the Grand Kids today now that everyone is out of quarantine. My wife and I are tripple vaccinated which doesn't seem to mean much but it is what it is.

I need to do some right hand activities as I tore my left rotator cuff. (not today, a couple of weeks ago) I have an appointment with the surgeon fish but I know it is torn. This will be the 5th or 6th time I tore a rotator cuff so I know exactly what it feels like.

If you go through life and never tore or broken anything, you didn't do enough. :)

This will be my 28th or 29th surgery but all for Manly things like crashing, fighting, dancing or collecting amphipods. I never had surgery for silly Girly Man things like facelifts, nose jobs or tummy tucks.

I had this appointment for a month as these guys are like Gods. I picked this guy to do it because he is a Veteran and was a combat medic in Afghanistan. I didn't want someone who got all his experience operating on in grown toenails.

I could probably do it myself if I could stand my screaming, After all I do have a large assortment of toggle bolts, duct tape and other hardware. :D

Mornin’ All!
Off to Nashville in a little while to see the throat Dr. After that, headed to the other side of Nashville to get O2 tanks filled.
Never got the storms here yesterday, just some light rain but temps are dropping and we have a 70% chance of snow on Sunday night. That will probably change over to rain though.
Hope Y’all have a great day.
Stay Safe!
Stay Healthy!
&
Stay Strong! :D

Good Morning! It's a nice comfy 11 this morning with 20+ MPH sustained winds. The 1.5 inches of snow was actually 4-5 inches. They are calling for 6 inches today so I am expecting over a foot. Fortunately I am off tomorrow so let it blow! Have a great day and stay safe!

Good Morning!
since we are giving covid status instead of dosing schedules i will say: i have not been tested, not been vacc'ed, not been quarantined, wear a mask when it is required, not been happy to be, nor felt protected by, being masked (since i can't get a good seal with a beard and have been trained on how to suit up against chemical/biological/nuclear threats and cloth does not cut it)
may have had it, may have it, am not worried about getting it, have not forced myself on people who are going along with any protocol of their choosing.
Good Morning!

Good Morning!
I got the shot so I could get the card, That gives me a defense if anyone becomes a giant rectal orifice in my immediate vicinity.
My son gets upset when I mention these covid shots don't seem to be based on any kind of immunology I have ever heard about. I even had immunology in college. He is an engineer and assures me I don't know anything though.
My wife and I also discussed getting lined up at school for polio shots. The entire school got one and you couldn't get out of it unless you had a doctors excuse.
Then he tells me I am cynical. I don't think he knows what the word means. In passing I have noticed a great many words don't mean what they used to anymore. They just seem to mean what ever the person using them wants them to. It says it means that on Wikipedia. Were anyone can make anything mean what ever they want.
It's like falling in a swift river. Swim with the flow. Against it and you will surly drown

While I'm not against the shot, I just think they rushed it. Only reason I got it, I work in a high contact with the general public(line cook in an open kitchen)job, and my wife has lupus.

I liken it to getting the required vaccines before you could go to school. BAck in the day you just got them, now a days it seems everyone is against them. Go figure.

But hay lets not turn this thread into a discussion on the vaccine, or else we may get some posts deleted, and possible thread shut down.

It is interesting that Jill gets exposed about 5 times a week at work. The people that tested positive and are sick bring in their prescriptions to be filled before going home. She either has had a silent case of it or hasn't gotten it. Perhaps it is just afraid of her like me.
Lucky for them I managed to disable the eye laser beams about 25 years ago.

Good Morning Reefies

five/six rotator surgeries..... the mrs sez that's nutz.
after one she sez she will deal with the tear as opposed to going through the rehab again, which she claims to be worser.

we got weather coming allegedly new years eve through new years day.
six plus on snow.
just in time for the two day waterfowl hunt.

me and the mrs are triple vaxed.
we are old. (my mom sez we aren't, but i figure if i say i'm old then she's ancient and she probably doesn't want to hear that.)
i'm not overly concerned with long term effects.

my favorite.
"i'm against the vax."

hey Ned,
does Jill ever read your stuff here.;)

While it seems the booster shots are more of a psychological boost than an immunological one I am sure they are as safe as they can be made to be. Almost every chemical known to man has a tiny population that it is deadly to.
Vaccines, tree nuts, bees, shellfish, penicillin, peanuts, latex......

Occasionally

I had her read it and she smiled. I do know what I am doing here. We have been married a long time.
