Good or bad algea?

Don't be worried about it. But do watch your nitrates and phosphate numbers. Did you replace the sand after the move? Did you do multiple rinses and a final rinse with RO water?

ok so once it sucks up bad nutrients i will work on getting rid of it..... BUT how?
With no animals I would dose peroxide. Thete are dosing guides here in this forum. It works. It will also kill your macro so put it somewhere else for a while. But be prepared to do battle with algea on and off forever. Lol.

You definitely want to get your phosphates under control. They can, if it hasn't already, absorb into the sand and rocks and then leach back into your system giving you constant issues even after manual removal. You might even consider removing the sand and washing it. There are lots of threads you can search where people discuss that process. If you decide to go that route, research it first. Disturbing an old sand bed can have deadly consequences for your livestock if not done properly.

I did not replace sand, I am going to replace sand this weekend with my next water change. I’m going try and siphon as much as possible out. And replace with new live sand... I did not Ron even anything. I just kind of took a swing at it. But I’m hoping after this water change. The number will decrease significantly.

Forever really? Even with peroxide treatments?

Is it like once it’s in the tank there is no getting rid of it?
it can be an uphill battle especially if tank was neglected for awhile. It's not impossible. Some people share great success with maintaining after the initial cleanup by increasing the biodiversity and getting the appropriate variety and amount of CUC. I've seen a lot of people that purchase REAL LIVE rock and added it to their existing aquascape and that helped tremendously with their biodiversity. I don't have first hand experience with this though.

Im going on month 4 of taking over a tank with a BIG GHA algae problem. It's been a SLOOOOOOOOW process but I feel like I getting somewhere. I haven' had to deal with the green slime looking algae but I don't think yours looks unmanageable.

As you stock your tank you will constantly be introducing things into your tank. An actively growing scrubber or refugium will help but if your reef is healthy algea will be a part of it. It's not always a bad thing.

its depends what device you are using. on my computer it works fine. on iphones, it never works unless it is a youtube video.
I’m on an ipad. With Ios you just click on it, choose «download » and they play it from there.

It doesn’t work with all videos though. 50% maybe.

Just for the record, I could see your video. Thanks. Good luck with your tank. Get good test kits and as your tank stabilizes the algea will be easier to manage.

I was talking to someone who replied to me. This a problem we see again and again on many threads. If this can help someone else, what do you have against that ?
sorry was in a crazy mood that day it was me not you

Your phos is elevated supporting the algae as is the sunlight even indirect as the power of UV will penetrate shades and curtains. You will have to block the side facing windows with black construction paper.
Are you using RODI water or tap water from the faucet ?
What test kits are you using>?
Any snails or cleaner crew in the tank ?

Reduce white light intensity a little

Temp 77-79
ph 8.1-8.3
salinity 1.025
nitrate < .10
phos < .04
Ammonia < .03
mG 1300
Alk 8-11
CA 400- 440
