GoVols: Red Sea S-400

Rakie,

Thank you so much.
The new one and mommy are still all good :)

Are you still liking the ATI?

Glad to hear! and yes, I'm loving the ATI Essentials. It's by far the best results I've had with a 2/3-part dosing system.

Okay,
Here's where were at with some random shots...

Reactor has been connected to feed pump and flowing wide open.
As you can see the check valve is working and not a water leak anywhere.

Apex ph probe has been calibrated to 4 and 7 calibration fluid's and double checked with Apex fusion that they were holding.
Need to figure out how to make ph show up on the new regular Apex JR's display.

Down to blowing out the end of the Co2 tank's connections / bolting on GLA regulator / filling up bubble counter with RODI and running the Co2 line / connecting the needle valve.

Shots of the evening

And got in the GLA Atomic check valve too.
Just to play it real safe.

So, We'll do Friday's regular (weekly) water change and we'll just see if we kick in the reactor this weekend.
But... it's flowing :)

Welp,
I've seen your coral's and to me the ATI Essentials speak for itself.
Your reef is kicking in and it just doesn't get any better!!!

Rakie,
Glad you've gone with the ATI.
You've always told it like it is and I don't know anyone else using the ATI E's.

Did someone sway you to the ATI E's or did you just do your homework and pull the trigger?

Thanks, Freddie

Just did my research. I wanted a solid 2 part but really wanted to try one with trace minerals. After mulling over ESV I realized after like 5 years, ATI Essentials was finally released in the US like a month prior so I bought ATI up without any hesitation. The glowing reviews from across the pond definitely help, as well as the fairly modest price. There's cheaper 2 parts, but there's also WAY more expensive ones.

Just an update of where we at using Hybird's method with the GEO cal reactor.

Started last Friday evening with Apex at 7.4 on / 7.3 off.... but was still seeing a .2 daily drop in dkh.

Sunday bumped alk back up with Seachem "Reef Builder" and changed to 7.3 on / 7.2 off.

Have tested ever since from Mon - Wed at between 5 and 6 pm and all is holding.

This is what we've got since Sunday evening.
Cal = 420 (API)
Alk = 8.7 dkh (Hanna Alk Checker with brand new reagent)

Display tank's ph report to come ;Nailbiting ;Nailbiting ;Nailbiting

Display's Ph report is in.

At 9 pm last night ph was clearly in between 8.0 and 8.15 (salifert)

At 8 am this morning the ph is clearly still above 8.0

All is good and calling the @geo cal reactor "A Wrap" ;Singing ;Singing ;Singing

:D

First off, Congratulation on the new grand child.

Second, nice calcium reactor setup and successful setup.

How is the tank reacting?

Jsker,
Thank you!!!
Mommy and new baby are doing just fine :)

Reef is all good and per Randy, still dosing the Red Sea "color's program" for coral tissue trace elements.
Just dosing them every other day and way lower than the reef's cal intake.

The Red Sea ABC+ powder was a great ride... but I was ready to automate again and wanted to give Hybird's cal reactor method ago for the S-400's long haul dosing.

@hybridazn

From the bottom of my heart...

Thank you so much for your guidance and support over these last months.
Would not have been here without you!!!
