As you can see, I gave up on the green acro sps and the acro crab had already moved to the setosa and sometimes he's in the birdnest

You can add some acro any time soon, try strawberry shortcake or red planet my favorite acros.

Couple of Updates:

1) Lighting
If you have been keeping up the the BRS video series, they go into how more important that the blue spectrum is playing a great factor in coral health in regards to lighting. Also @HolisticBear and myself has been talking about how Jason Fox has come to a lot of some of the same conclusions too.

I had the pleasure to talk to one of the most highly regarded men in the Hobby... and out of the blue, he has been coming to the same conclusions as well. We laughed and talked about when the ole Radium 20k MH bulbs came out... ;Drool

Anyways...
For his most common corals he has been running led's with just the blues on and leaving the whites off, but he did state that if you are growing more demanding SPS arco's that they still need a wider color spectrum and those do need whites at a lower setting to help those corals reach their full potential.

I had changed the Kessil's to about 50% color, but I have moved back to about 20% color and 100% intensity.

2) The GEO 2 stage cal reactor
Well,
For myself it has been turning out to be a very good decision and it was really time to go back to automation even tho the Red Sea ABC+ and Colors C & D gave some truly awesome results for a year.

Anyways...
We fired up the GEO last October and for the first time I felt the need to dose up the calcium in the main display.

For myself that's just about as good balance and stability that you can truly ask for.

I have tuned the reactor's melting point down just a tad for more demand of cal and alk and for the first time, I bumped up the cal, two weeks ago with Seachem Reef Advantaged cal powder. Since the one time bump, the cal is staying in balance.
To myself: You really can't ask for more.

How's the Vibrant doing?

Well,
As you can see the bubble algae is breaking down again, since the last dose of Vibrant and the overflows teeth is catching it.

But, That's the last dose ;Stop of Vibrant that we will be prefrom for a fairly long time.

Hopefully more good news to come, down the road ;Nailbiting

Well,
I was not going to post today and it's just been one of those kind of days

I knew that my cars engine belt was getting old (dry rotting) an should had already replaced it.
So, I pulled out of our subdivision and the dry rotted belt split in half, but I did have enough battery juice to make to a shop.

Anyways...
Just got home from work and saw dying off bubble algae in the Red Sea's recirc. pumps strainers

And... Re-checked the last three spots of the remaining bubble algae.
