Great Swimming Fish: Who does it best?

Watching fish swim around in your aquarium ranks up there with some of the best things on earth to watch! If you're looking for a lot of "fishy" movement in your tank then it's important to have fish that, well, swim well! Some fish like to perch, some like to stay in one area and some just are not graceful swimmers. All of those are still good but if you're looking for the best swimming fish then what is your go to fish?

Definitely voted for tangs and wrasses....both can move quickly and decisively without being affected by strong currents....both are always on the move

Anthias and wrasse. Great swimmers and look good while running for it!
I think all adult reef fish know how to get through the currents.

though my tang and foxface swim well, my best swimmers are my chromis. They are in constant movement from dawn to dusk. My tang and foxface, take breaks in their corner during the day. I did not have the possibilities to vote for them on your lists.

My Peppered Butterfly (Perry) of course!... pretty sure hes been swimming his whole life so he's gotten pretty good at it...

If that is the case, Anthias. Nothing beats that shimmer. Purple queen if you can keep them. OMG....

wrasses, tangs, and anthias are for sure the "better" swimmers.

They can go in fresh or saltwater, they school together, do not nip coral and are very friendly but super fast. They get big so mixed with their speed, they can knock some coral down.

Tangs have become mine especially having after today, 19 of them
Plenty of movement, color and fill for a tank

Angels in tanks I had before corals became the focus and wrasses because they are always just a little different

Wrasses by far, and in my tank, the M. negrosensis in particular.

Sure tangs cover can some distance, but nothing can dart in and out of the rocks without a scratch like a pest hunting wrasse.

my sixline by far. He is so fast! one minute he will be on one side of a the tank then immediately dart to another area.
