Never tried as I only feed the fish in my systems and not the corals except 1 or 2 lps in my frag system.

Purple stag or blue Matrix.
The blue Matrix is slower growing with thicker branches.
Pic 1 purple stag growth rate like slimer.
2nd Matrix.
I like those those a lot and it may be the ticket. Below this spot are blue squamosa clams, though. I was trying to do something other than green or blue or purple, because that is what surrounds the spot, but i have not ever really seen a bright red or orange or pink or orange stag. You?

Yes it did. It chewed not nipped the tops of all vertical growth to the point they were flat. It caused the slimer to grow like a bush.
It never touched any other coral.
I feed heavy so I guess it just liked the taste of the slimer.
Its hard to tell in this older pic but the tips are chewed flat.

How big is the frag? If it's an inch or less, I'd be surprised if you couldn't do better even from your LFS. As others have said, they grow fast and have to be fragged often so they're generally not too hard to find. You should be able to do better than $50 for a small frag. I'd probably be hesitant to pay $50 for anything under 2.5-3 inches. There's a 4.5 inch frag for sale in my local club for $20 right now, and a 6 inch colony (multiple branches) for $45.

Here is mine. It is actually more pink than red in person im my system.
