I'll try to pull the frag out and scrape it off. The plug is glued in but should still break free.If it's only on that frag and has not been in the tank for to long..... Just remove it! I had a birdsnest and unfortunately I didn't see the bubble algae on it, and has become a issue... I just bought emerald crabs and they have no interest in the bubble algae.. If your gonna remove manually be extremely care to not pop them because if you do. They start coming from everywhere in the tank..
Yeah I'm trying to get my tank under control but it's still new. Just over 2 months in and I can't get phosphates under control. As everyone else has said its bubble algae. Since its still a frag try to remove the frag and then scrape it off if possible. Be sure to dip several times in some clean water and dont let any of that water into your tank. If the bubbles burst it released the spores which could spread like wildfire. If that did not work, and more pops up an emerald crab is a means to an end but the nutrient problem allowing them to grow is the key to keeping it under control. Best of luck!

Still trying to decide if gfo needs to happen but I've heard its bad for corals and the stuff I have leaches brown water not matter how much I rinse it.
yes, I don't know how much it's helping, it's in a media bag in a canister filter. I'm basically just using this filter as a media reactor. Are you currently running any carbon? Maybe mixing a small amount into that could help. Not enough to cause a block up or for it to over tumble.
That sounds like a lot of work.I wonder if you could inject them with hydrogen peroxide
