Lebanon Maine
and just happen to live in lebanon nh haha!can you just cut them back or will this cause a problem in the tank??
I am at work and currently, and have no recent photos. When I get home I will take one to show. Here are a few before they started growing out of control![]()
A possible solution could be to remove the rock to a quarantine tank. Turn it upside down & lean it against one side of the tank (don't put it face down on the gravel). Put a light at the other end of the tank & see if they "walk" (move) toward the light. Put some rubble next to their feet so they move off your 'keeper' rock. I've "walked" aiptasia right off rock, this way too. That's what my hairy was doing (in my previous post) when his frag got off balance, fell & tore him. This does take awhile, depending on how motivated the hairy being walked is. I just make them uncomfortable enough to want to relocate. I place frags, rock or rubble all around them & crowd them in so tight that they say, "Heck with this, I'm outta here". lol. Try it. You might find it's the best removal method because they are the ones that are removing themselves. Again I say though, it does take time, depending on how fast they move. This is just how I do it and I've 'walked' many things...aiptasia, shrooms, anemones.

On the left side of the tank those are rocks from my sump. The rocks that were there also had mushrooms.
