Fairy Basslets, Soapfish, Groupers, Sea Bass are all members of the Serranidae family. The groupers that I'm aware of for your home aquarium grow to over a foot long. I am not aware of small groupers for small tanks. Let's see what the #reefsquad has to say.

Can I put those with a lion? No, your best bet would be basslets.
If it’s big enough to fit in its’ mouth, no. Lions aren’t aggressive fish, but any fish they can swallow, they will, eventually. Can I put those with a lion?
But what about the grouper/other fish eats the lion or swims in to the lions spines. If it’s big enough to fit in its’ mouth, no. Lions aren’t aggressive fish, but any fish they can swallow, they will, eventually.
Doesn’t happen generally. But what about the grouper/other fish eats the lion or swims in to the lions spines.
Suggestions?Ok so what are some good fish to have with lions instead of groupers?
What kinds of triggers do you recomend?Triggers are fine with lionfish and wont notice each other. As long as it's not small enough to get swallowed but that's what there triggers are for, to not get swallowed.
;StopI don't think there really is any trigger appropriate for a 60g

Ok I might try it out in the future.Comets/Marine Betas are gorgeous, but will have to trade it in once it starts to get too big. Would need to make sure that your lfs would take it in.
