In the process of creating a list of rules so we can have them all in one place and people can give input. And then I'll probably create some kind of form for everyone to fill out with tank parameters and contact info.
I am leaning towards $75 (for coral+prize+shipping), I think if we do $100 there will be less people participating. But if anybody has input I'd love to hear it.You can take a look at the rules we had for the last one had some good rules there.
What’s the verdict on the price ? Is one made yet
I have never kept an Acropora in my own personal tank, but I have also never tried, I figure this is a good opportunity.75$ to join in a competition that builds the community and a chance to win 100$ (100 for 10 participants.. more people bigger prize obviously) and a nice (from what I’ve searched/seen) frag sure doesn’t sound like a bad deal to me. The point system doesn’t look bad, but for measuring a standard 12in ruler should be used for clarity. I’m not sure I’d participate for an arco because I don’t think I could keep it alive more then a couple weeks.
I think we need to get a limit on number of participants from Adam. There can only be so much coral.
He said it was a big healthy colony though, so assuming it can provide 30-40 frags, I think the $75 price point would be choice.
How will we base whether or not people make the cut?
I would assume in chronological order.
I am leaning towards chronological. I'll also give up my spot if necessary.

We'll see if there's any spots left. I am really not much of an sps person at all and I don't want to take away a spot from someone who really wanted it.Very noble, but I feel you should participate. You started this and are now organizing the event.
You deserve to have a place.![]()
