Just curious as to an average growth rate for a colony, give that parameters are steady and solid

Some grow super slow and some put on polyps at a really fast rate. Just depends on the type. Any type in particular you asking about?
Not sure the exact name of these but these are the ones in question.. the aiptasia is gone btw, this pic was a few weeks ago, peppermint shrimp took care of it

Many will tell their "parameters are steady and solid" and yet will have their growth rate all over the place.
There is absolutely no answer to your question. Every system will show different growth rates at different times for different colonies.

Ok thank you... i know little to nothing about this hobby so im just asking any question that pops in my head
its all good we all are still learning. All my zoa have different growth rate. Typically cheaper the faster they grow.

These are about 18 months old. Started with 5 heads each. My son's tank. Up high with Steve's LEDs. Nitrates stay 15.

Don’t hesitate to ask . Even if you think it’s a dumb question.
Thank you i appreciate everyone on here. I sometimes feel like im a pain, even to my local reef shop because im constantly calling/texting/emailing questions about things that they answer a million times a day already.

I’ve been in this hobby for 2 years and I Still ask questions. Some lfs don’t care and are just in it for the money. This is why reef2reef is such a great place because the people here actually care and want to help.

Growth rate will depend on nutrients, water flow , lighting and parameters of the tank

If they are open and healthy, I would leave them right there. Yours look good!
I actually moved them since that picture, they are mid tank but on a higher rock. They usually all open, but for shorter periods of time. A snail has been on them all day today, so obv closed now

Just watch and see how they respond.

Ones you don’t want grow fast. Ones you do want grow slow. So goes life for me anyway lol
Exactly this. I have some watermelon zoas that started from a single polyp and now have over 30 of them. Also have some rasta zoas about 3 inches away that started from ~5 polyps and have been there a while (year +) longer (twice as long), only have about 9 of those so yah... lol
