Totally gutted, got up this morning and my 3 Dispar Anthias and my Royal Gamme have died, Anthias have been in the tank about 3 weeks, my Royal Gamma about 2 months, they where all totally fine last night and have been feeding fine. Checked every level PH, amonia, Nitrates, Nitrite even KH and Phosphates and all fine, all my other fish are good. Any ideas what could have caused this?

Sorry to hear that.

What other fish remain?
Can you post a short video of them?

Does the tank have any invertebrates in it? Are they fine? That is often a diagnostic tool that can help differentiate between fish disease and an environmental problem.

All the other fish are fine, have my two clowns a cardinal, Algae blemmy and Salmon Blemmy. No signs of any illness. All my CUC are also fine. Checked out the dead fish and no signs of spots or anything, gills look clear. Worried about Velvet but no symptoms of that on any of them

What is age of tank?
What test kits are you using and when you say numbers are fine . . . what is your readings:
Ammonia
ph
nitrate
salinity
temperature

Tank is 4 months now, Amonia is .003, PH 8.1, temp 23.5, Nitrites and Nitrates just trace, salinity around 1.25. KH around 170, trace phosphates. Using Seneye and API test kits

I see cyano in that pic.
Do you have a skimmer or anything else that is adding O2?
Any rapid breathing?

Have a skimmer going, nope, no rapid breathing at all all acting normally. Over feeding a bit, hence Cyano. It’s dying off though, still in the ugly phase unfortunately

I realize youre out of the country. If you can, is there an LFS you can go to that does NOT use API kits and have them recheck and verify your ammonia-ph-nitrate for you? API notorious for false readings especially when not tested precisely and your levels may be higher than youre seeing

Will pop up tomorrow, although have a Seneye attached and the Amonia and PH levels line up with the API kit

I just want to confirm... Your salinity is 1.025 correct? You posted 1.25. I'm sure you'd be having more issues if it really were 1.25 but wanted to confirm. Sorry to hear of your losses.
