Because they show the 6105 reach the other end, but the bigger pump looks like it disperses more.

I'll have to re-watch the vid to be sure....but I can say this...

The 6105 comes with a regular wide flow "cover" as well as an extra-wide flow cover if you want wider flow.

You don't want extra wide flow in a 180 though...unless you want to clear you sand bed. The main wide-flow nozzle is gonna be perfect in most situations.

It's also true that the larger Stream models are wider flow – including the Stream 3.

For your gyre flow imagine the "bare spot" under the 6105's flow as where your "return" water will be flowing around/through your rocks.
