The color on Haitians tend to have white tentacles with pink or green tips. Sometimes tentacles are tan.

I've got one of these in my tank, it's been nothing but smooth sailing thus far, but I believe it may be because it is one of the tan (more algae inside) ones. They get really big and enjoy fish flesh (I feed my nems salmon and whitefish weekly).

Will the anemone “nuke” the tank if it does die?

If it starts to die you’ll see it, it’ll look like it’s melting away. You would need to get it out ASAP or everything will spike, after it passes, I’d do a water change and monitor your tank.
If this anemone was in a larger tank it would do much less harm.

I’ve got some decorator crabs and hermits in the tank. Do you think the anemone might eat them? I know it’s a risk but I wanted to see if they really “Hunt” for crabs and snails.

I’ve never experienced this. I couldn’t see that happening, that anemone couldn’t pick one up, nor would the snail or crab go inside.

When I had a long tentacle years back I fed it live fish that was like .05 or something. It was hard to get them to eat the fish and took many long minutes....

I see this is an old thread, but I figure adding on new information, for anyone who's researching, won't hurt. I have tried three condy anemones, two of them have survived and are going strong. My two currently reside with a large purple ritteri anemone as well. The first condy I attempted was a purple one from Petco that I couldn't help but try at the time due to the florescent purple. It seemed to be doing fine and then one day started wandering around and mysteriously died. The two I have now (a purple and a green with pink tips) I bought from another reefer and I've had them over a year at this point. The purple one had a rough patch after I had an alkalinity spike that killed most of my corals, but has since bounced back. The green one never showed any signs of stress. I feed them rarely (a pair of maroon clownfish feed the purple one for me), and neither has moved since I put them in an anemone cup/large snail shell. I think once they're established, they're fairly hardy from my experience with them, but need a stress free 'break in' period to your tank.
