Halide Lighting Advise. 250-Watt-Hamilton w Moonlight ?

The reefbrite just has attaching points on the top of the fixture. I used 80/20 to make my light stand. If you contact Tullio at Reefbrite he can walk you thru how to hang your light.

Is 80/20 metal products that you made your stand out of ?

You can't go wrong with that used Cebu. Drop some Radium 20K's in there with some ATI True Actinic and you are in business.

Are those DE or Mogul? I ask because in the description the seller says DE but then pastes literature from Hamilton and it says Mogul. Regardless that's not a bad deal since it comes with M80 ballast.

A magnetic ballast say with a Radium 20K 250W will run the bulb at closer to actual spec and will produce a whiter color than if you ran it with an electronic ballast at 250W. M80 seems to be the preferred ballast people like with the 250W Radium 20K. An electronic ballast that has an HQI setting will run the bulb at 300W vs 330W on the M80. Think of it like this:

Electronic 250W - Blue
Electronic HQI 300W - Less blue than above
M80 330W - Less blue than above

As for Mogul being the way to go that's up to you to decide. It's the only way you can get a 250W Radium 20K. If you don't care for that bulb then it doesn't matter.
