Hammer coral help

Is there too much flow? What if it was as simple as polyp bailout?
How far apart are the two hammers? I guess I'm asking what's the difference between the two spots where they are located...lighting and flow wise.

The 1 is close to power head ,but it has been opened up its maybe 7 inch off sand bed probably 8 inch from powerhead the other is in the middle of tank I know the lighting in that area is low cause I run leds maybe 2 inch off sand bed there, are there quite a few LPS fungus ,diseases ?is there a antibiotic anyone uses?the more I think of it the more I lean towards a disease or pest lingering in there that I am unaware of ,

Other than brown jelly or a specific flat worm not that I can think of. But each would affect both hammers not just one...I'm stumped
Do you have another tank/qt you can put it in to see if it improves?

Thanks for all the advice,I do have another tank so ,but that tanks has torch coral and a frog spawn in it,would hate to spread somthing.I will closely monitor hammer and try to research some more.I am also stumped by this.hopefully the dips help il probably try to dip once every other day to reduce stress loads.what really sucks is how fast this happened and recovery time if I can get this took care of .. ty

I think there was someone on YouTube with somewhat of the same problem - and he narrowed it down to his ALK being too high...

If alk was to high my other hammer coral should be showing effects also rt?I think it's brown jelly after looking at the heads this morning. If I cut the dead off and it is brown jelly does anyone know will this fix it ?

From what I've seen on brown jelly (having never encountered it myself, thankfully) fragging off healthy heads and isolating them may help, as might dipping in iodine or ReVive. As with so many other things, excellent water quality helps as well.
