Guys,

Does anyone have or know a link that can give me the parts I need to get from the hardware store to hang the fixture from poles attached to tank stand? The metal rail sort of thing? Not sure if I'd like to drill holes and hang from the ceiling but also want it to look sleek. Thanks! So pumped about the my future SPS cube!

I'm assuming you are not interested in using conduit bent to hang your fixture? many reefers use conduit because its cheap and you can paint it and it looks good

Not sure I would trust conduit with the powermodule it is pretty heavy.

My 8 bulb hybrid is anyway.

I'm not opposed to conduit...don't really know what it looks like haha. Pretty easy to work with?

Here's what I did for the ati 24" dimmable. It's coming tomorrow. The only thing I have to do is paint it black and attach it to the tank.

Two 10' lengths of 3/4" pipe with these

will do the trick. All you'll need is a hacksaw, measuring tape, screwdriver and paint.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Would toggle bolts be strong enough to hold that fixture?

Do you guys think something like this could hold the ati?

With a corner bracket like that on both sides...I'd say sure. Just make sure you're mounted into something solid on the way down.

I have had two hanging from conduit and it is no problem at all.
My new Giesemann Matrixx t-5 fixture is even heaver with the large piece of glass built into it and they are fine as long as you get the right size conduit.
Go to home depot and they will bend it for you..
Just drill a hole at the end and use the hanging kit for ATI.///

As promised:

I don't understand why everybody does not do it this way. My light is an 8 bulb 36" Dimmable Sunpower. I've done this with my prior 60" 8 bulb ATI (although I made sure to mount into the joists in that instance.) Two toggle bolts will easily hold your fixture (based on that picture it looked like you have a cube)
