Unfortunately I don’t see Hanna re-designing the packets anytime soon. That said, get a small funnel off Amazon. It works well. When I first saw the packets, I thought this is a mess in the making. Luckily I do have a small funnel. When doing multiple testing with other Hanna testers, I just wipe it down and stick a q-tip in the base to swab out any residue. When all done, I chuck it in the dishwasher.
How about just using a vial and spoon like every other test kit? Or add a binder make it into a tablet you drop in instead of a packet of powder.
Thanks man that was nice. Not a master by any means, maybe someday. I just love spending time on my tank and try to be as in tune with it as possible. When you don’t have much disposable income every mistake is very costly so it helps if you never have a mistake.
I think the powder degrades in record time when it’s exposed to air hence the single packets. Just a guess. Or Hanna are some Sadistic jerks that like watching everybody squirm. They say “don’t worry about getting every bit out of the packet” but that seems like it would effect the results but I am a locksmith definitely not a chemist. It’s funny because every time I cut that pack it open it seems like my kids and my wife and my dog at that very instant all need something done or wanna come over and show me something or distract me somehow. Every single time. How about this a small gelatin pill and you either toss that in the water and shake till it dissolves or you just take the two half’s of the pill apart and put that into the vile. So you just buy a bottle of pills instead of a box of packets.
