Order some reagents and another brand of test kit and try for yourself. The Hanna and Redsea have had identical results on my end.

Powder in the Alk?!? Huh? The Hanna Alk ppm and dKH have Liquid reagents...I tested with my new alk reagent from Hanna and received 83 as a result. Hanna should test those powders before releasing them for trading.
I call liquid as powder as well. I'm not native speaker.Powder in the Alk?!? Huh? The Hanna Alk ppm and dKH have Liquid reagents...
Ah!!! Sorry there for a second I was thinking a counterfeit reagents or checkerI call liquid as powder as well. I'm not native speaker.
The reagents that I bought before December used to work well though.

I don't know why people put themselves through the trouble with the Hanna alkalinity... Single reagent titration test kits are so easy to use, can be very cheapm, and are generally pretty accurate. I use the API with a wider vial and a 5ml syringe, works great and I can can perform the test from beginning to end in about 15 seconds. Even if you have and like the Hanna, it's a good idea to have one on hand to cross reference or for once you finally grow tired of the more complicated tests![]()

I find it much easier to use then any of the tiration color based since they all have such subtle changes for my eyes.I don't know why people put themselves through the trouble with the Hanna alkalinity... I have a hard time with the color charts. I find the Hannah much easier to get a result. If I get a spurious result I will repeat the test and if needed confirm with titration test
No charts, just a change from blue to yellow. Perhaps people with color blindness with struggle with that change in that case the Hanna makes perfect sense.

Also your volume measurements need tobe very consistent. I ordered these from amazon

I have one for 1000ul and one that dispenses 100ul. I also use 10 ml syringes to measure the same volume rather than filling to the line on the bottle
