The was I understand, is the reagents take longer to react and the shake time is the same. Check the units time to make sure that the unit timer is 3 or five minutes and the will be the clue to the timing

It still has a 3 minute timer on mine. Got it from BRS last week.

Then from the old inventory. I spoke to the Hanna peps three weeks ago and the new unit might have not started production yet?

Hanna's new ULR is out, it's the HI-774 model. The auto-shut off timer has been extended but the shake for 2 minutes and 3 minute sit period before taking the reading remains the same, the time between C1 and C2 that has been extended in order to allow for people to cut the reagent packet open and mix the reagent with the sample that has been extended. The window for the colorimeter's ability to take a reading has also been extended slightly but it is still strongly recommended that the 2 minutes of shaking and 3 minute wait period before running the sample are strictly adhered to for the most accurate reading. This is straight from Kevin at Hanna.

Having the timer be so short is annoying for sure. But DO NOT use multiple cuvvets when testing. Your just adding more variables to a testing solution that already just "hobby-grade."

Also, Hanna has a Calibration Check-Set you can use if you want to double check everything.
