To convert the PhosPHOROUS reading on the Hannah checker to PhosPHATE you need to multiple the reading by 3.066 like RadicalTour said (or to make it simple and just multiply by 3 like Go Vols does)
Then to convert from PPB to PPM you divide by 1000.

And yes 0.285 or 0.29 is high relatively speaking

Your correct, You times your reading by 3.066 :)

95 x 3.066 = 291
/ put a decimal point in the front

=.291 ppm
phosphate level ----- and that crosschecks correctly to the Hanna sheet above :rolleyes:

What would everyone suggest to bring the phosphates down asap? I have a reactor using 2/3 carbon to 1/3 GFO, should I try just running it reversed 2/3gfo to 1/3 carbon or just straight GFO?

You should tumble GFO by itself in your reactor. Dump your carbon for now

Your don't get the full benefit of the GFO with AC in the same reactor. (As your test kit shows)

Use 1/2 of the recommended dose of your GFO. (Slowly bring your phos down)

If your bring the phos down like (ASAP) fast it can shock you system.
 
what do your corals look like ? chasing numbers can be pretty detrimental to your system. lowering phosphate to much to quick can shock your system. there are many highly advanced reef keepers with high nitrates and high phosphates. google skeptical reefkeeping and be prepared to be shocked about everything you thought you knew about nitrates and phosphates. stability is the key

Yep, It is.

When your phos #'s come down, the API is not accurate enough to detect phos #'s like your Hanna Checker :)
