Have you ditched LED's for T5's?

the biggest problem I have with LED was, I was never being able to take a good pictures of my corals with LED.

I got full spectrum on my cree leds and i love them. Make all mine pop. I do have mostly but still have couple lps and zoas

I run royal blue and 10k cw leds and have great color on all corals. I don't find leds to be lacking in any spectrum over when I ran just t5. Chalices seem to do better under lower light conditions around 75par which with t5 is easy to keep chalices happy but leds penetrate well and give lots of light even at the sandbed. I think this is where the chalice issue lies people want to blast leds and I think this causes a lot of issues with color in all corals.

That being said I do now run t5/led but mostly to help the shadowing effect and get better color and growth from the parts normally shaded by leds that t5 keep light on. I do like running the combo better than led solely but I found chalices to do better once i lowered my intensity of leds. At least these are my experiences with leds. A lot of peoples tanks and non dimmable fixture run to white I feel to get the real good color like u do with t5.

I would try turning down intensity or raising them higher and maybe run it a little bluer than ur eyes think it should be and after a while the colors should come back. I know my zoas all look great just as good as t5 only setups. Once again just my thoughts and experiences from running t5 only to led only to now last few months running combo t5/led. Only run 2 80w T5 on 6' 180.
