So this is my first aquarium and it’s a 20 gallon long. Dimensions are 30x12x12. I know that the Aqua scape is ultimately up to me but I really want this to look nice so criticism is appreciated. Below is my first try.

I think it looks nice! I would buy a large arch rock to connect the 2 islands but that’s just me :) it might be fun to make a rainbow out of it with cloves/zoas!

I like it resembles a couple of crabs

Looks good to me. The only thing is on my phone screen I can't tell but I would just say make sure you have space around the sides for cleaning purposes.

It’s decent!
Just a suggestion bc I had a 20 long packed with coral, but Less rock can really mean more in such a small tank so consider using one less piece and rescaping just for kicks. Take a pic of this scape tho so you can go back to it.

Lookin good! Some good suggestions above. My favorite is “your missing water” lol.

but seriously, it looks good. Space around edges to clean glass is great advise. And I would leave space on all four sides even if you plan to let coralline grow on back (wish I would have listened to that advise lol)

can’t wait to see what you do with it!

happy reefing!

Here’s my 20 gallon. Bare aquascape (1st day) and that aquascape now (1 year later). Plan for growth! I’m kind of regretting that tall rock on the left, it’s too tall to allow for any real upward growth so I’m restricted to encrusting/flow growing corals.

I think you need a bigger tank

Looks good to me, make sure your magnetic cleaner can pass the rocks.
I think it does in the pic

I was going to say the same, if you are planning on any corals that grow up (anything other than zoas or acans) your going to want to limit the height of the rock. I shoot for not more than half way up for most of the tank that way you don't have clumps of corals on the surface.

BTW, thats a great tank for a nano. lots of space to cram stuff in there.

REALLY good to cram stuff in there :)

@Kingkold020 i think it looks like a great base of rock and corals will fill it out nicely.

@footgal what is this
