Heath ' s 150 tall build

Ty ty! Happy happy happy. Pretty much aqua scape. When I can spend 2 - 300 on some more rock and I'm all dialed in. Hmm.

lol, make your own rock, it's cheaper ;) I made and am still making my own for my 180 upgrade. I'm also making a rock column return as well as rocked columns for overflows. All you need is sand (lowes non silicate one) bag of white portland cement, crushed oyster shell from a feed store and a bag of water softner crystal salt, a tote, 5g bucket and water. Easy peasy ;)

Hmmm uh yah this I really should do. Sounds like a great project. Might have a few days off of work here soon also.

I did steal a wp 40 from a guy over the weekend for 60 bucks! So I got plenty of flow for anything I think. 2 1200 gph hydor ' s and a wp 40 should be plenty I think.

There are some DIY rock threads in the DIY section on this forum also on the last page or 2 of my 180 build thread I put my recipe. There are other pictures and such on my thread as I went along.

Great buy on the wp40! Yeah, sounds like enough flow to me :)

So as you guys can see my little man likes cleaning the qt tank lol. The 7 Yr Old Is Still Working On His Lego Build for THE Tank But I Found THIS Little Boat And Put Some Sand IN THE Bottom Of It FOR My Wrasse To Hide. Couple more days and I'll start do some water testing and start catching fish. Just 3. Malanarus, purple tang and my rabbit fish. Gonna take the opportunity to get 90% of my water out and drill a glass holes overflow and do a scape. Really excited to get this crap finished. Tired of looking at this tank without enough rock.

Looks good :)

I think kids are more in awe over the tanks than we are. My grandkids love to come here and hang out by the tank for hours :)

I was just reading your tank thread prsnlty everything looks cool that your doing love the diy stuff. I tend to go overboard in making things! As you can tell in the amount of $ I wasted on my qt. Oh well.

Well ordered my glass holes overflow. No stopping the drill tank project now! Lol. Still wanting to build a custom stand before I drain the tank.

I like to do as much DIY as I can ;) By building my stand I can make it exactly how I like and the diy rock has nothing it shouldn't have in it. There's also a lot of satisfaction in DIY. If you build your stand yourself you'll be glad you did :)

The little ones are only young once and he's going to remember stating into the tank!

Diatoms! Win. Test water in the morning and try to catch my fish.

Anyone think this will work?

Looks good, time will tell. I use a clear flower vase with plastic wrap rubberbanded to it. In the middle an X cut. Usually they can't find their way back out.

I got a clam on the half shell in there I'm bound to catch something lol.
