My name is Ben. I am new to the saltwater aquarium life, and already hooked but would like be some knowledge for the group here. I have a 75 gallon tank with a few different coral frags from WWC! I am having a problem with my phosphate running at 0.62 ppm and getting some Cyanobacteria any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

The easiest way to decrease the phosphates without causing other problems is to feed less and/or do more water changes and they'll come down over time. There's lots of other ways to decrease PO4 too, (aggressive skimming, refugiums, GFO, carbon dosing, lanthanum chloride, etc), but those all require a bit more reseach and you usually can't go wrong with more water changes, especially if you're new to the hobby. Increasing flow usually helps with cyano but decreasing the feeding and upping the water changes will help decrease the cyano as well.

Unfortunately my nitrates are at 0ppm! Is there something I can do to get it balanced so I don’t get eat up with the cyno?
Like everyone has said, water changes are the biggest help.

Nitrates are unfortunately are a 0ppm. System is about 6 months old. I have a 300 micro sock filter and a protein skimmer and I added a carbon reactor about a week ago. I have 2 Clowns, 2 damsels and 2 tangs. Several mixed coral frags 4 shrimp, 5 turbos and a few hermits. Thank you all for the suggestions! I greatly appreciate it!
