Hi- I’ve been a member on the R2R forum for a bit now and have never posted in this thread! I’d like to officially introduce myself!
my name is Beth, I am from Northern Michigan and after 10 or so years, I’m finally back into reefing! Might I add it was the best decision I’ve made in a long time!! Lol
I currently have a 90 gallon full of rock and a few fish and just ordered my first batch of corals thanks to the awesome live leap year sale!
I have really enjoyed everyone’s feedback, this is truly a great reef community!! Thanks again, hope to talk to some of you again!!!

Actually, even I can help with the contributor badge! it's easy! All you have to do is make your first post to the "Member Tanks" area, basically your tank intro (As an OP, you can even cheat, and enter your thread name and post just a few words, then come back to it and edit your intro page as you see fit) From there copy the thread name at the top of your browser. (CTRL-C for windows, I forget what it is for mac) and paste the page url when you select "Build Thread" from Account/Join user groups

If you intend to get deep into corals, you really want to get some way of reliably measuring your alkalinity. Make it a habit. I do it every night before I go to sleep, and keep a running log.

And what test kit do you use for your alkalinity? That one seems to be the most important as I’m finding out...

Red Sea for titration and a Hanna checker for accuracy. I'm one of those people who cannot trust a single test... API ruined me forever.
