Welcome! I am in Rockville =) You should join WAMAS if you haven't already, although it is a bit more Virginia based.
You can use a rubberband on a small rock to give the hermits food. Or give them sinking pellets.

Thanks Squishie89! I haven't but I'll give it a look see. I'll grab some nori and try the band to a rock trick. I checked out congressional this week while passing through Rockville for work (sshhhh) and it's a cool little shop. I'm always looking for new spots to check out so if you have a favorite let me know and I'll drop in the next time I'm in the area. Thanks again!

Well in rockville there is Aquarium One ( which is in the neighborhood-ish of congressional). If you are willing to head into Virginia, go to Quantum Reefs, those guys are rock stars (okay not literal rock stars, but they are awesome). I also like Marine Scene, but not as much as I like Quantum.

Just checked out the quantum website and I'm feeling a road trip in the near future. Thanks for the suggestion! It's about the same distance to PA's "That Pet Place" from me, which holds the largest saltwater room I've ever seen. They have to have over 200 tanks with tons of cool creatures and corals. Also the cheapest in supplies, beating any website I've been on and their prices are better in store than on the web. www.thatfishplace.com It would be a haul from VA (to Lancaster, PA) but it's a sight to see.

Feel free to tell Steve Squishie89 sent you ahaha. Yeah, Lancaster is a bit of a drive for me =X

From one Marylander to another Welcome. If you get on this side of the ditch check out PacificEast Aquaculture.

Thanks patrickreef! We venture over the bridge every couple months to see the outlaws in Denton and that gives me the perfect excuse to get out for a couple hours. Pretty big shop?

Welcome aboard! I'm a first timer to this, but my wife has had a setup before, so she's showing me the ropes as I get familiar with this.

Thanks seadaddy! We're all here for the same thing... The love of reefing! Big welcome to you too! It's been a while a for me and I've only had my tank going for a little over a week but it's slowly coming back to me :)

Denton is part of my stomping ground only 15 minutes away. Yes it is a big place speciallizing in coral they do not have much on the fish side. You should check out their website to see some of the stuff they offer. In the retail store they have a lot more then what is posted on their site. They are in Mardela Springs which is about 45 minutes south of Denton.

Yeah I checked the website out, googled it and it's on my to do list for our next visit. That sounds like the shop for me because I plan on doing mainly corals and inverts with maybe a scorpion or other odd reef safe fish. I'll save the fish for when I can do a 180+. Thanks again for the welcome and pointing towards a new shop!
