Hi I'm Maria, I'm a recent college grad starting my first saltwater tank in San Jose, CA. I have a 90 gallon display tank and a 20 gallon quarantine tank that are nearly done cycling. Would love to hear others tips and tricks for quarantining and acclimating fish as I am getting ready to introduce my first pair of clowns to the QT first

Hope you like the clowns. You are going to see some wild stuff now read some others stories there are lots. Be ready for the large one when that happens # 1 experience they fight and one becomes the dominate female the other the coward male then she will bite you when you put your hand near her lol. Should look on some of the articles on the site. A quarantine tank is simple Bare bones water, pump, and some pipe fittings for them to hide. As for dipping dosing lots of knowledge as I said in articles by scientists here. Too many opinions to deal with

Hi Maria,

You are from my hometown!! What part of SJ are you in? I used to live off Senter and Lewis. I moved out to Merced 8 years ago, but I still have family and friends in SJ.

Once you get your tanks up and going, I have a bunch of stuff in mine that I need to rehome. I'd be happy to gift you some easy corals to get you started.

Welcome to the Dark Side...
