Hi,
My parter and I are completely new to the saltwater game so I am looking for some nice friendly forums to ask questions and gain advice.

We have both wanted to keep a marine aquarium for years and have finally treated ourselves to a nano aquarium.

Anyone have good book suggestions for beginners?

Hi Shane! Welcome to R2R. You won't find a nicer or friendlier forum than this.
There is an article thread here for beginner reefers and a thread devoted to new reefers. A wealth of info in those two locations alone to give you everything that you will need to be successful.

Watch YouTube Videos -- I love the BRS series. They do a fantastic job. You can start with week one of 52 weeks of reefing, and just keep moving forward.
Research @Big G mentioned a Saltwater Aquariums for Dummies book. That would be a good start.

Welcome to the Salt life! You will find everyone here extremely friendly and super helpful. So I am going to get it out of the way now. Lets see the tank.. Show us some pics. we love us some pics. I am always amazed what the nano tank people can do... I have 75 gallons (soon double that almost) and it is like I cannot cram everything in yet I will see a nano tank and everything is to scale, looking like some zen garden. Even the fish is to scale. Well. That is enough rambling. Welcome aboard and see you around!
