So I went to my local store and the worker advised that I purchase dry rock and cycle with a fish because of possible hitchhikers. He felt it was an easier start for me so I guess I just wanted to share my first fish. I shall name him soon

Sounds good I'll stop by tomorrow and buy some is one bottle enough? I hope hes ok. Might return him I'll see how he does until tomorrow. You can either return the fish or you can buy some Biospera or Dr Tim's fishless cycle bacteria and put it in the tank and the fish should be fine then.
I actually have some from my freshwater tanks that works for both so I can throw some in nowYou can either return the fish or you can buy some Biospera or Dr Tim's fishless cycle bacteria and put it in the tank and the fish should be fine then.
I have strips I'll test it now. I've ordered the test kits with the vials it should be here tomorrow. Thanks for the help everyone sorry I should have asked if it was accurate information before purchasing himHere is a link to do fishless cycle. if to decide to take him back http://www.drtimsaquatics.com/resources/fishless-cycling
Billdg is right. Clowns are pretty tough and you can dose bacteria and do water changes but you need to test your parameters often
Good luck

It's not expired I get it often for my fw water changes or adding fish. I'll throw some in for now and get the one you recommended tomorrow. thanks! Not familiar with that type, if it says you can use it in saltwater then I would, but how old is it. Bacteria in a bottle does have a expiration date. I would still get some bio spira or Dt tim's tomorrow as I know it works very well.
I would just go with what @Billldg suggestedDo you reccomend returning it or frequent water changes
