mine doesn't.
nor does the air stone I use in the corner of the tank when I need it.

Put a valve on it and run it at night or u can build a bubble trap like some hob skimmers use but most bubbles should stay up top unless your return is way down in the tank since most bubbles go up and dissipate

Took a day or so but it opened back up a day or two ago.
