Did another 50% water change and changed all the filters floss and added new carbon. It seems to do the job. I woke up with the tank back the normal with the behavior of the fishes. I was most worried about my blenny and cleaner shrimp because they weren’t active at all. But now they are back to normal self. I will keep an attentive eye on them for the next couple days. But thank you all for helping me with this. I really appreciate the help.
So happy to hear this! When in doubt do a water change!

Well, I've just suffered another near chemical wipeout in the same tank that suffered a similar disaster over the summer. Last night, I caught the scent of bleach in the air, and told (well, yelled) at the kids (who were using a commercial bleach spray product to clean their bathroom) that I'd end up with a tank of dead fish if they just sprayed it indiscriminately (and at each other,). Well, they apparently did it again this morning...and I ended up with a tank of dead fish, flattened xenia and nepthea, and snails on the bottom. Survivors: a matted filefish and a molly miller, the latter of which can apparently survive a direct hit with a nuclear bomb. Criticize away, but I provide a cautionary tale, and I'm kicking myself hard for not throwing all the spray bottles in the trash last night. All chemical commerical cleaning sprays are going out the door today.

The aiptasia survived nicely. Sigh.

David am so sorry

I once had new formula sprayway instantly kill a planted setup's fish like that I agree with that evacuation move. so sorry

old formula did not kill when I used to spray directly on glass, the one marked new formula sure as heck matters

Thanks for the kind words. I'm probably going to have to invest in a cleaview lid with solid inserts; the other two tanks next to it survived without losses, probably because the Evo has its canopy and the RSR350 was farther away.

That fish community was so harmonious! I'm going to particularly miss the sulphur damsel, the flameback angel, and the coral beauty. Argh.
