HELP! Issues with my 6 Stage RODI Unit

Do you have the lines going into and out of the membrane(s) reversed? It sounds like it's just not connected properly if it was working before.

Also, if you're running the washing machine, dishwasher, sprinklers, ect... It will pull a lot of water pressure from your rodi. Try to use the rodi when no other water is running.

Agreed ! A good man, I assume was Russ some years ago, talked me thru a prob I was having.

Its looks to be working properly to me. you will not get a lot of flow out the the DI canisters. The ro membrane will reject 90% of the water so the waste line will have good flow the DI line will not. The fact the DI canisters are not filling up is not an issue

My system still has Buckeye Field Supply on it, lol. Got it before they switched names. This system has been with me for 3 tanks now. I want to say I bought it 8 years ago. Could be more than that though.

Please post back when you get it sorted out with @Buckeye Hydro. I'm always interested in hearing what the solution is.

Sorry busy schedule at work. I will do it this evening with an update. Thanks fellas :)

Okay so i took out each chamber one by one as you guys instructed and discovered the blockage is in the 3rd chamber. Water is barely coming out. Okay what should i do next?

Remove canister 2 and check for flow there. If you have flow at 2 you have found where the problem lies. At that point you could try running a pipe cleaner between the chambers. Could just be some carbon dust build up or lime scale plugging it up. If it's like scale you may have to remove all your filters and soak the whole thing in a vinegar bath.

I tried the pipe cleaner. There is no build up between the chambers. This is sooo weird :/

Try running the second chamber empty and see if the flow to the third chamber is still slow or better.
I have a feeling your carbon block which is in the 2nd filter might be clogged

Yes waste water is dripping out. The DI chambers don’t fill to the top.
Normal due to the di stages not being under pressure. The flow from the RO membrane will be a slow drizzle and the waste water will be a steady stream. Pressure at the ro unit needs to be at least 30-40 psi for it to function properly, dirty prefilter and carbon blocks or low water scource pressure could be a cause. If you have low water pressure then you will need a booster pump. I get 60-65 at the membrane and fill a 5g jug in 50 minutes with my 90gpd rodi.

I actually needed a water pressure reducer because the faucet in my garage was too strong. I was hitting 95 psi. Then when things started to clog I removed the reducer and now I can barely get 5 psi. The faucet is still really strong. I wish i can send videos

OMG!!! you were right. I removed the second Carbon block and ran it empty. The PSI shot thru the roof. You are amazing *Hugs

Lol well good we found the problem.
Carbon block are rated for 5000 gal before changing thats altogether water good and bad. They trap cholorine anf chloramine and other elements like ammonia etc and they do get clogged.
Maybe it was a new filter or old but somehow it was the problem.
Glad i could help.
