Briopsis then air algae and bubble algae
And did you test for po4 phosphate?
Until this time I never had a real problem with briopsis my powder blue likes it and I am grateful for that
For hair algae green legs hermit do a wonderful job
For the bubble remove it out of your tank by hand or a emerald crab
This is IMO

Thank you again. seems you are always willing to help me out!!

any recommendation what snails would be good for the slime algae?

Should i also dose the fluconazole to tree the bryopsis as well?
The fluconazole is really only for the bryopsis, some folks are trying it with other alages but I haven't seen that much success. A little with some of the algaes folks call GHA(oft mis-ID'ed) and some great success with GHA.
The bryo is the big concern, was a scourge for a long time.

Check the patch of "gha" it could be a turf alage, a true turf algae will kinda peel off the rock. try it with a fingernail and probably hit it with a tooth brush.

Most of the common cuc snails will do the trick for slime algaes. One key is you do need to knock down the alges and then the snails will keep it down.

Is Hydrogen Peroxide the best way to erradicate the slime algae? The snail crew i have will not touch this stuff....

I would use a tooth brush if its not a large amount. between the snails the tooth brush and some nutrient control it will usually pass.

3.5 weeks is a very young tank. You still have a way to go before getting through the uglies. In my opinion, and this is just opinion, this will likely get worse before it gets better. Don't get discouraged, just keep plugging away at it and eventually you will have a beautiful tank!

Thank you...typically how long do the uglies stick around?

if you feed the fish healthfully, not long with live rock IMO. The big prob is the learning curve of what goes in need to come out.

Dude, my second tank is about 8 months old, and still has some green hair algae. Get a bunch of turbo snails, emerald crabs, hermits, etc. You will have diatoms, algae, etc for a little while. Be patient. Dont scrub rocks in the tank, it will help it spread. Let your tank mature natrually and you will be better for it later. Once you finish your cylcle, consider getting a phospate reactor and run carbon as well, it helps, but isnt a cure. the algae is fed by phosphates and nitrates. Right now your tank is still cycling so aside from the shell fish and snails, leave it alone.

its live rock. its already cycling. But yea, +1000000000000000.

And no, scrub that stuff, get as much out as we can. Its in the tank and has already spread, we just cant see it. Bubble algae, thats different.

@saltyfilmfolks ..Question.. and I don't want to hijack thread.. but I've been dealing with ugly brown algae on my white sand for a few weeks now.
I went on vacation and my tank was just in survival mode.. if you know what I mean..when I got home... the alk and nutrients were a little high but since then.. I've brought everything back into norm but I can't seem to get rid of the brown algae on the sand...maybe I just need to be more patient or ???

Hey no sweat.
Is it a slime algae or like a diatom lookin thing.
I'd guess you had a house n tank sitter and the feeing regimen was different.

A lot of folks hate it. But I'm a shallow sand vacuume guy unless it's a Dsb.
Probably just the extra food but.....

Like my love handles, we all kinda get to know the signs of us overfeeding. You haven't seen this before in the tank?
