Help me design a 130 gallon sump!

lol... internally you're spanning a little under 23" and with acrylic thicker wouldn't hurt... plus it's only $15 bucks more.

Hmm I need a good measurement... what should the length so I can tell them to cut the pieces? I need the exact size. The tank is 24 inch wide but inside from glass to glass is shown exactly in the pic I just don't know what to give them... 23 and 1/4?

Oops forgot pic

all depends on the thickness of the glass, if it's 1/2" thick and externally it measures at 24", your at 23" internal... sorry about the 11" was trying to fig something else out.

Check pic to see if I'm right, if glass is 3/8 then it must be 23 1/4?

Yes you're right... I know we have not talked about silicone but recommend Momentive RTV108, the manufacture states it's "adhesive sealants" and I have had great luck with it in the past.

Ok sweet I'm telling them to make a sample 23 1/4 by 1 inch to test out first... that silicone is obviously reef safe? Where can I get it?

give it a week or two to cure, yeah reef safe... Amazon... lol

Uh oh 23 1/4 no bueno... should I try 23 1/8?

If you have a lfs they usually all have aqeuon silicone. Kinda expensive but it's for sure reef safe and a 24 cure time.

What I have Dap aquarium safe 100% silicone would that work?

If it says aquarium safe than yup. Just make sure it doesn't have any mold protection in it.

Ok cool, how about the strength of the adhesive? Each chamber will have about 45 gallon of water pushing on the baffle, I want it nice and tight and no bowing

I know people say silicone does not hold that great on acrylic also.
