I used 1/4" but I have 12g in my fuge 7 7 and 7 in the other chambers.

Might go like 3/8" just so it doesn't bow at all on that big.

You also could look into getting 1\4" glass cut. Btw I would lose the bubble trap on the fuge side. Just use one on the skimmer side. The skimmer is where your gonna get micro bubbles from. Imo

There's glass repair shops all over also. Window replacement companies cut glass.

U might wanna look into a smoked color glass for in between the fuge and return pump also. So light doesn't enter the return pump chamber and cause algae to grow outside of the refugium chamber.

Might be close. 2 things though. Glass is more rigid. So it won't bow as easy. Silicone also sticks to it better. Ie stronger seams. But I like working with acrylic because it's easier for me to work with. Ie drill and cut.

Yup. Idk throw the tank in the truck and take it someplace that does window repair with your final design and just see what it will cost for them to do it. May not be much. Than it will be glass and your done. Or at least they will cut it all and you can silicone. I don't mess with cutting glass either.

Also if you run your fuge correctly you really won't need much for reactors. I haven't changed water in like 6 weeks and I still barely am showing nitrates or phosphates.

Lowes is ok and they will cut it for ya onsite, at least the one near me does....

1. Glass Type & Thickness - standard 1/4" (6mm) thick "plate" glass, also known as "sheet" or "annealed" glass. You will want to ask the glass shop to sand or grind the edges so it will not cut you. DO NOT USE tempered glass. If any amount of damage occurs to the glass, you won't have a tiny leak, you'll have an explosion of tiny pieces of glass all over. If you go the glass route find a window repair shop, give them the dimensions and go from there. I like my local Lowe's better than home depot but for my on personal reason would go to a specialist before the big boys.
