So I'm pretty sure the purple one is a gonaporia but I could be wrong but I have no clue what the green one is can you please help identify and where best to place them? Will the sting each other? Thans in advance!

together is fine although often Alveopora is shorter stemmed

Both are alveopora - a cousin to goniopora

Alveopora and Goniopora are actually not closely related at all. Goniopora is in the family Poritidae while Alveopora is in the family Acroporidae.

I honestly don’t know because I have never kept them near each other before. Just keep in mind that xeniids can grow really quickly and take over your tank.

I have both with each other- youre fine. Do note though that if you don't much experience with raising coral, or are afraid of losing either, you should choose Alveopora which is more forgiving of changes in water chemistry.

Lol ...my Goniopora has had some issues here and there but always snaps back to life and grows new heads....my alveopora was doing awesome for 2 months...then literally one morning was a coral skeleton ...you can't explain that!
