Nice looking system!

What do you have in there for a CuC?

Kinda looks like a turf algae.

Probably feeding of the nutrints and minerals of the new rock. probably going to need to keep beating it back and hope the snails get to work better.

Urchins will do a number on most turf algaes. You may just want to get a bigger CuC. You can buy snails in bulk from Liveaquaria.com and reefcleaners.org for a very reasonable price. I'm thinking you should have at least 50 snails and possibly up to 100 snails in a system that size.

Yea thats an odd one. My thought was tuxedo urchin as well and beefing up snails. Unfortunately yea you'll wind up with too many snails once its gone.

I feel like a few golfball sized turbos would make short work of that. I see you said you had some but dont see any in the pics.
I can add pics of snails but all my rock has been placed so the fish can all swim throu it so in the day time all the cuc tend to hide with in the rock work

Its all good. I believe they are in there. Was only wanting to see them because I have seen a lot of snails called "turbo" and in my experience, the zebras enjoy what you have there growing.

Hi only trouble is im in the uk and not really any suppliers of bulk and even when you see any they are normaly not any cheaper then lfs most places are around £3/ £4 each and normally not more then half inch in size . Even hemits are only half inch . My turbos are all around 1 half inch as i try to by them from private hobbyist so they are bigger

Will the urchin make a mess of my corals and how many snails in a 50g tank

Ugh.. that does present a challenge.

Have you tried using a product like ProdiBio Biodigest to see if that helps?

No i will try find it on google truble is can always get what is available in US . Did think of trying a small course of hydrogen peroxide but really hard to get in the UK

Mine only messes with stuff I didn't do well and has been a model citizen.

Id kinda add slowly still, as you may be adding a lot you may not need. I didnt count but you may have more than i do. But mine is now a maintence crew not a big clean up. Im not a fan of the snail per gallon rules.
Take a look at this and maybe also look at diversity and algae specific cleaners too.
