Help me with my 25 gallon tank pls...

It's been 5 weeks since tank is been cycling. My current parameters . In this process I lost a yellow tang and hammer head coral ..
PH - 7.8
Ammonia - 0 ppm
Nitrite - 0 ppm
Nitrate - 20 ppm

My rocks have started developing light green algee

What should I do to get rid of this algee? Is this normal ?

It looks like the beginning of Coraline. That's good. What kind of water did you use?

To top up I use RO water and for water change salt water

I am planing to add fish but not sure if I should yet ..since I lost a tang and one coral i am a little hesitant

in the beginning your tank will go through so many changes and every time you will start to panic, its all normal we've all been through it I see you have some snails and some hermits. as long as you seen an ammonia spike and a nitrite spike then you should be good to go to add fish. with that being said make sure you make a list of what fish you want and make sure they are compatible if you don't trust me they will let you know. Would excess tap water on the filters harm the tank?

Yes I do have snails hermits and one pistol shrimp as well

I would think the inverts would have gone first if it was tap water, I may be wrong but the whole copper aspect of some tap water. You have had your cycles complete correct?

What do you mean by copper kind of algae? Did your ammonia and nitrites spike up at any given time?

Ammonia never spiked up but nitrate did spike up and I kept doing regular small water changes
