Help! My pricey gold torch is sad

How is it doing?? I’d chime in to keep it in low flow and lowish light for now, and not move it! Let it be.
The holes in the skeleton are a mystery but as long as more don't appear I suppose it's ok. I haven't moved it in a while but it's still looking the same. Hoping the color comes back

Really should open up a lot more... hopefully soon.

Update time. The torch has recovered a lot. Looks good when the blues are on and I can see yellow/gold under white too. The pics I see online are a bright gold but I don't know if that's how it really is or if it's editted. Nevertheless my piece has made great progress.

Pic didn’t post, try again, would like to see. There are different variants. Most are pretty bright under blues. Mine is brighter than this pic shows with (very) darker blue tips, but you can see in the pic only one side of the tentacles are gold, it’s basically streaked.

It's a video. I'm seeing it on my end. Are you still not seeing it?

I can see it. Looks much better. I think your flow might be a bit on the low side....

Edit- I can see the vid on both my PC and IPhone...

Well, that’s great! No idea what’s up with my iOS app tho, ha!

Some bad news. The gold torch has died. I have no idea. My green torch, dragon soul torch, and purple torch are steady as always.

I noticed the gold torch closed up more than I've ever seen out of nowhere. I was debating whether to dip but decided to give it a day. I woke up to a skeleton. RIP.

I'm wondering if the damage early on eventually caught up. Remember that the torch came in with 0 color. The coral looked absolutely nothing like the WYSIWYG picture. The coral also had a gaping hole in the skeleton due to a botched fragging. The store I bought the torch from clearly cut the coral a few days before shipping. The hole was covered by a blob of super glue and I was told that it was normal procedure. I was upset and surprised since this store generally has a good rep but gave up arguing.

This is pretty demoralizing..more so since I was able to restore some color and the price of this piece. Been in the hobby for about a year and have been deep into it. Loving it so far. Today however is the first time I had a moment where I didn't want to work on the tank.

Thanks. Yea all other corals are doing great - zoas, acans, hammers, frogspawns, candy canes, monti caps, birdsnest, and even some acros. It's just this single torch for some reason. i've moved it around some places. how long should i let it be before i move to the next location to see if it'll work?
My frogspawn didnt adjust well at all to my new tank (I skipped light acclimation) it lost all its tenticles and receded to the point I thought it was dead but after a month is it looking great! Give it time and don't touch it dont try and spot feed it. It will recover. The picture is the green frogspawn its closed up due to being night time but its fully recovered! Dont worry

Oh no I didnt read that. I'm sorry to hear that..

Did anything come of this, or was it just a goner? I'm having the same issue.

Unfortunately dead. A shame given that I received it in a tattered condition that I was able to revive. Then it died out of nowhere. Maybe it was destined to happen given that it was shipped in a torn up condition. Luckily the other euphylia seem ok meaning it wasn't a disease that spread.

Darn, that's a bummer. Sorry to hear it.

I've been reading a lot of similar stories, specifically about Aussie Gold Torches. Definitely has me nervous
