HELP need advice Corona killing my School reef

I started reefing with sped students 2 years ago. All tanks have to be taken down by Monday. I have moved my original 32 gallon Bio Cube to my house (last Night) and will load as much coral and live stock as I can into it, but have several fish in my 75 that cant come here. (snowflake eel, yellow tang, fox face). Urgent issue for this tank right now a couple weeks ago my wave maker/power head went out. I have a coral box RN-1 that says its a nano pump bur seems to be too much flow even all the way down on 1. Has anyone used RN-1 on a biocube?

I dont have what your looking for but I will dig through my extras box to see if I have something that will work. Let me know if you need any help. I'm just down here in Derby so I'm close.

Thanks. I have the RN-1 Coral Box nano pump set u pit seems to be too much. I was wondering if anyone else has used it in a small tank like this. I may have to go get new eflux wave makers, my manifold is good

Sorry to hear about that. Why not hook it up and see how everything responds. I haven’t used that pump before but I always use overrated pumps for my set ups. You can redirect flow and place corals accordingly. If it doesn’t work, then a LFS stop may be your only bet.

I set it up last night. My clowns laid flat on tank bottom avoiding flow and a nem crawled into it by this morning. I got nem out thankfully he handt gone through yet was hung up in cage, and turned it off

Do you have rockwork to break up the flow? Can you redirect the flow to the top just to the point where it’s not splashing water out of the tank?

here is a video of tank with pump on lowest possible setting, Are my clowns struggling too much? do i need to get different pumps. I really like this one. I have two of them in my 75 gallon tank

I think they'll find where they are comfortable. Imo.

The only pump I could find to work in something that size or smaller is a Jebao SOW-4 set on the 2nd lowest with nighttime going down to 1. Of course I wasn’t trying to spend over $100 on a better brand

so take my finger off the panic button and give it time is what im hearing? with the school shut down and having to close all of my tanks down i am in hyer drive mode. I have a 33 long mangrove reef, a 75 gallon mixed reef, this bio cube, a 20 gallon long softie reef, and a clown breeding set up with 6 clowns and I get 4 hrs in the building today to close it all down. Have no Idea where to put everything.

All seriousness I don’t think many or anyone will say yes for sure. I would normally say no but in your emergency situation I would think as long as you have no bullies, short term and in a new place with no territory might work with close supervision

Take the biocube, the 30 long , and 20 long and split up the Pairs between them.

Without knowing the types of all the clowns it’s hard to say if they will get along. Do you have a big pair of gold stripe maroons going with some perculas/Ocellarus? I would caution against.

I do not have room for all those tanks at my house and have to break them down. plus those tanks all have clowns in them already as well I have a total of 14 clowns

problem is the smallest two clowns I have have lived in the biocube for 2 years and are in it already. I doubt they would be the bullies but would possibly try to defend their area causing the wrath to come on them

You can temporarily wrap the pump with filter floss to break up the flow until a new pump can be sourced. Not a long term solution but a temp one.

Could you get special permission from the school to give you more time? Explain to them it's a humanitarian thing. Or have a nearby LFS help you house some of the fish.
