Unfortunately I dont have any of that on hand, and tomorrow may be too late. Any other remedies?

adding prime would have stopped the ammonia problem? How much would you add or what ratio to bag water?

Yes, but you need to be sure the bag water doesn't contain any copper (or other meds) before doing it. More & more places are keeping fish in copper water (usually subtherapeutic) to suppress symptoms of disease while the fish is in their care.

What would the prime do to the copper?

I'm so glad he pulled through! Careful drip acclimating in the future. The added oxygen will be needed for at least a week while his gills heal.
