I wouldn't use any sand or rocks from the main display or sump, at least not in it's current condition. Get 10lbs of live rock from your LFS or just cycle some dry rock.thats a good idea about the 40 breeder, I have though about this.
I have about 60 pounds of sand in the sump, I was going to put some of the sand in the breeder and put all the frags on tiles?
