Help!!!! This is slowly killing my zoa

Have you tried to take apicture without the blue lights or with a flash to cancel out the blue? It's hard to make out the black stuff in the picture

If you can see that discolor surrounding the polyp that is it. It is starting to encrust the whole polyp. The rest of the 3 polyps beside and behind is already encrusted

Have you tried wiping it with something? I may try that with hydrogen peroxide in the morning. Like with a Q tip....

tried pretty much everything i can think of. Like i mentioned on the first post when I tried to brush it hard on the other frag that almost fully encrusted, it broke and the inside was already a polyp that melted.

I will try the revive on this frag and the harsher methods on the other 3 frags that are affected. Thanks for your input

I did it once a day until i started to see the polyp opening up then I just left the polyp alone and didn't touch or move it at all

Yep, that's the stuff, its saved many of my zoa colonies
Hey Pedro. Isn't that for cyano? Remember I mentioned to you I have lost 5 frags of JF bloodshots? Same thing all frags, this black encrusting shell forming on the polyp.

I do half to recommended dosage in my whole system but if you don't want to treat your system maybe try a dip that's higher concentration like 1spoon full every 1cup and that'll be 16x and leave the frag in the solution for 5-20min with every so often blast it with a turkey baster.

I've also tried malifix by api with good results, good luck.

Pedro, can you give us the amounts for this dip, just for reference pls?

Dosed the tank with the recommended dosage, some people have made a dip with good results, I have no issues adding it to my system so I go that route.

Here's an update!!!!
Tried what Pedro suggested and I think it might work. Tried on one of my frags and was able to peel off some of the skin off and they looked better.
Dipped for 30 mins. with constant aeration with a baster and noticed some are coming off.

That's awesome. So you did one spoonful in one cup tank water?
