HELP URCHIN LOST A TON OF SPINES

Did you ever find out what was wrong with this urchin? Did it recover? The exact same thing is happening to mine. At first he was all over the tank so we named him Dennis the Menace. But now he has gone from purple to brown and lost 90% of his spines. Everything else in our tank is thriving and getting larger... except poor Dennis.

We even sit him on strips of nori to make sure he's at least eating something. We bought him on March '22 and he was great until August of the same year. Help!!

Your urchin will most likely die in the next few days I'm so sorry for your loss try keeping stable parameters, especially salinity and hope to the gods if there are any that they can spare its soul
