Idoc, any advantage between epoxy vs super glue? I see a lot of posts recommending super glue but it seems like the porosity might not allow a secure bond?

I've used epoxy puddy with some frags and didn't think it was that awesome. I want to re-do some of my aquascape with extra thick super glue gel and see how it works. BRS used this in a video and it worked pretty well on their rocks. I've heard of some people using epoxy with a dab of super glue gel on both sides and seem to have good luck with that as well.

I would not use epoxy to support load bearing rock work. It is great for frags because you can easily remove it. Marco cement is great. Some use hydraulic cement, but I could never get it to setup.

With accelerator, I just go with cyanoacrylate gel. At load bearing joints, I will use a bunch of rubble pieces to give the joint a smooth look and secure bond.

Nice platform piece! Do you happen to know if this is reef safe?

Sorry but I don't know.

Love your scape! Can you post an update of how it looks now?

Low viscosity superglue mixed with sand is the best way to attach rocks
